Do you know what this is? I had no clue what it was when I first bought it, honestly. I thought it was just a big pot. Turns out, it's called a Dutch Oven. It distributes the temperature evenly and you can't burn your food; well that's what the package says. You know I'm going to put that to the test :) So far I've made pork chops, rice, and vegetables in it. The dutch oven kind of reminds me of a crock pot mixed with an oven, but with half the cook time. It's like baking food on your stove-top. This thing is amazing!! I'm about to make some macaroni and cheese in it. You can also put it in the oven. I found a few websites that have TONS and TONS of recipes for using this thing. I saw recipes for biscuits, cakes, omlettes...you name it, it can be cooked in the dutch oven. This has to be one of the greatest $30 investments I've ever made. I actually look forward to cooking now.
