I know I've been gone a while, but here's what I've been up to...We finally
moved and are somewhat unpacked. Still working on baskets. Here's a basket that I've prepared for one of my co-workers. It contains: 3 full sized soaps, 1 medium heart shaped soap, 1 cupcake soap with a valentine's day rubber ducky, 2 whipped body frostings, a mini version of the bath salt sundae, a pedicure set with a pumice stone attached, a body sponge, a bear, a balloon, and "sweets for your sweet" bag of Hershey's Hugs and Kisses. Not to mention, the entire basket is loaded with candy.
I'm sure you all know by now that my favorite team of all time, the NEW YORK GIANTS, have won Super Bowl XLVI. Go Big Blue!! As a loyal fan to the boys in blue I have made a soap dedicated to them and all the hard work they put in this season (see picture below). Note that this soap is a melt and pour soap (also known by many as glycerin soap). This is the only soap that I offer of this type. Not to knock other soapmaker's efforts, but I, personally, get great satisfaction out of the soapmaking process and seeing each soap as my own personal creation (even though there are some soapmakers that use melt and pour soap as a foundation and add their own special ingredients). Okay back on topic... so the logo/design I've created is printed on special paper that dissolves in water. So far this soap has been a hit. I have to give my dad credit for this idea. He is a die hard Giants fan(so you see where I get it from lol). So last week he called me up all excited about the game, saying that if..and when..the Giants win, he wants a Super Bowl soap. So I got to thinking the best way I could "make it happen." I remembered seeing on my favorite soap supplier's website this embed paper that you can print on that dissolves in water and then things just started rolling from there...to Microsoft Publisher (my all time favorite program) I went...and here is the final result. These soaps will be on sale for a limited time on the site starting next week for $5 a piece. A great price for NYG memorabilia.
The website is still somewhat under construction, but is now functional at least. There are some soaps that are currently out of stock. One of my favorite fragrance suppliers went out of business and I had to find these fragrances with other suppliers. So these soaps will be in stock within the next month or so. Soap production slowed down some because of the V-day baskets and moving. With the new soaps that have been listed I have not had the time to take pictures yet, but they will be up shortly.
Okay everyone, so that was a not so quick update as to what has been going on with Elle's Elations. Keep checking back for more updates and don't forget to "Like" us on Facebook. Until next time...happy soap adventures :)
